OUR ANNUAL WALK FOR ADRIAN - NECC 4th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism
Sol Yas and his wife Susan are walking again to raise money to support research in an effort to find a cure for autism. The Yas family will be out in force, to honor their beautiful grandson, Adrian, and all the other special children afflicted with this disorder. Adrian is a loving and happy boy who is attending public school and performing at grade level. He also attends Hebrew School in preparation for his Bar Mitzvah next year!
Adrian's parents, David and Anne, with the unusual caring of younger brother, Griffin, have done an amazing job of raising him. They are also comforted by the love and support of relatives, friends, teachers, and therapists. We have all witnessed his progress since he was diagnosed at 18 months, and it is truly heartwarming.
Much of the assistance Adrian receives, comes from The New England Center for Children (NECC). He participates in the Partner Program which allows him to attend public school supported by staff from NECC.
Again this year, Sol and his family are raising funds for NECC by participating in their 4th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Autism on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in Southborough, MA. Sol is asking family and friends to sponsor him in the 5K. Also, if you're inclined to take a walk through a beautiful countryside, please join his team, the "Sharon Eagles". While this is a tough time to ask people for money, they can't afford to take a time out. 1 out of 110 children born today are afflicted with some form of autism.
You may contribute online by clicking on the link below, or you can send a check payable to NECC, to Sol Yas at 4 Daniel Drive, North Easton, MA 02356-2644. A donation in any amount will help Adrian and so many others. Thank you.

2nd Annual Katherine Sansone Golf Outing
To all:I have attached the flyer for the 2nd annual Katherine Sansone Golf outing on June 22 at Wampatuck Country Club in Canton, MA. All money raised from this event will be donated to Autism Speaks in Katherine's name. Last year we were able to donate $17,000 to Autism Speaks. Please join us if you can for golf or just come for the buffet lunch and raffle. We will have some great prizes again this year. If you can't make a small donation would make a great difference.
If anyone has any contacts or suggestions for raffle prizes please let me know.
Thanks for your support.
